Los Angeles Spa F.A.Q.

Here are a questions we run into often when it comes to Spas. Give us a call for Spa service and Maintenance.

What is the difference between a Spa and a Hot Tub?

Back in the 1960’s the term “Hot Tubbing” was used as it referred to the wooden barrel shaped tubs. Later they started to make this tubs with fiberglass or with thermoplastic shells and these were referred to as “Spas” to show the difference from their wooden cousins. Now the term “Hot Tubbing” can be taken to mean using either vessel.

Can I put my Spa in doors?
Yes, this has become very popular! Some people put them in their basement, garage, screened in porch or even a spare bedroom. However, you need to have clearance to put the Spa where you want it as well as to disassemble it. Additionally, you need proper ventilation so an open window or at least a bathroom fan where you might not have access to a window, when the Spa is in use.

Do I need chemicals for my Spa?
Yes, to keep the Spa clean and in working order you must still use chemicals in your Spa.

How Often do I drain or fill the Spa?
Usually once every 3-5 months depending on usage. We can help you with this, give us a call 213-261-8688!

What do I need to get ready before my Spa is delivered?

You on need 3 things…
1. A solid level base to put it on.
2. A power outlet with enough juice for the Spa.
3. A hose pipe to fill the Spa.
